Question: What type of curriculum does CHA offer?

Answer: A-Beka/ACSI/BJU Press Curriculum.  We also incorporate a Spanish class, P.E., and computer class into our schedule.

 

Question: Are the teachers certified?

Answer: Our teachers are state certified with classroom experience.

 

Question: What is the student/teacher ratio?

Answer: Our classes provide a 16:1 student/teacher ratio for 1st - 8th grade students.

 

Question: What are the hours for school?

Answer: We provide half-day kindergarten classes from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and full-day classes for 1st - 8th grade from 8:00 a.m. to 3:20 p.m.

 

Question: Public schools have UIL competitions and other extra-curricular activities? Won't my child miss out on these activities?

Answer: CHA students participate in the PSIA (Private Schools Interscholastic Association) Academic Competition. They also have the option to participate in Little Dribblers, Chess Club, Signing Choir, and CHA YMCA Junior Youth & Government.   Field trips are provided for hands-on experiential education and fun.

 

Question: Will I have to pack a lunch for my child every day?

Answer: Currently, CHA provides hot lunches on Monday and Friday only at a reasonable price. Students are required to bring a sack lunch Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  Lunch menus are sent home with each student and posted on our website.
